Strategic Alliance Between Protom and PerDieci to Drive Innovation and Expansion in the US

18 set 2024

Protom, a Naples-based company specializing in digital transformation and advanced engineering, has entered into a strategic partnership with PerDieci, a diversified holding company led by Alberto Baban.
This collaboration aims to enhance production capabilities in both Italy and the US, share expertise to innovate PerDieci's product lines, and invest jointly in US production sites.
The agreement involves mutual minority stakes and the integration of PerDieci into Protom's Smart Manufacturing network.
This partnership is expected to accelerate growth and competitiveness, particularly in the American market, leveraging artificial intelligence and engineering services.
Protom, with a projected revenue of 30 million euros in 2024, and PerDieci, with a revenue of 60 million euros, are set to benefit significantly from this collaboration.

In a significant move to bolster their presence in the United States and drive innovation, Protom and PerDieci have entered into a strategic partnership.
Protom, founded by Fabio De Felice in Naples, and PerDieci, a diversified holding company led by Alberto Baban, have formalized an agreement that promises to enhance their production capabilities and foster innovation through shared expertise and joint investments.

The agreement, signed by Salvatore Rionero for Protom and Giannandrea Pozzer for PerDieci, focuses on three main development areas: enhancing overall production capacities in both Italy and the US, leveraging Protom's internal expertise to innovate PerDieci's product lines, and making joint investments in US production sites.
This collaboration aims to accelerate the growth of both companies by focusing on artificial intelligence, engineering services, and production innovation.

As part of the agreement, Protom will acquire a minority stake in PerDieci's engineering companies, while PerDieci will take a minority stake in Protom USA. Additionally, one of PerDieci's companies will join Protom's Smart Manufacturing network.
Subsequently, PerDieci will establish a new company in the US, in which Protom will also acquire a minority stake.

Protom, which is projected to achieve a revenue of 30 million euros in 2024 and employs 280 people across its Naples and Milan offices, already has a presence in the US. PerDieci, with a revenue of approximately 60 million euros and 250 employees, is a holding company that oversees nine Veneto-based companies operating in various manufacturing sectors.
These companies are unified under a "cross management" model, which provides a single strategic and operational direction.

The collaboration between Protom and PerDieci is not new; it has been successfully tested in Italy, where Protom has been instrumental in innovating PerDieci's products, while PerDieci has supported Protom in manufacturing.
The new agreement aims to expand this collaboration, enhancing competitiveness through artificial intelligence, particularly in the American market.

Protom operates in several integrated sectors, including digital transformation, knowledge development, advanced engineering, and smart manufacturing.
The company is supported by two active R&D labs and boasts a client list that includes ABB E-MOB, Enersys, Leonardo, Atr, Hitachi Rail, Accenture, and NTT Data.
Protom is also certified by Elite, the Italian Stock Exchange program for high-potential companies, and is part of TechShare, a preparatory program for Euronext listing dedicated to tech companies.

PerDieci, on the other hand, is an Italian holding company with nine Veneto-based companies in various manufacturing sectors.
These companies are managed under a "cross management" model, which provides a unified strategic and operational direction.

Alberto Baban, President of PerDieci, emphasized the importance of accessing Protom's expertise in artificial intelligence and engineering services to enhance the technological capabilities of PerDieci's subsidiaries.
Fabio De Felice, founder of Protom, highlighted that the collaboration with PerDieci and its subsidiaries strengthens Protom's growth strategies.

This strategic alliance between Protom and PerDieci is poised to drive significant advancements in production capabilities and innovation, particularly in the US market.
By leveraging their combined expertise and resources, both companies are set to achieve accelerated growth and enhanced competitiveness in the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and engineering services.
